The BRAF-Reno FUNdraiser was held at Cathexes /Unexpected/Architecture...a re-modeled warehouse in Reno complete with an indoor basketball court...where there was lots of dancing and hula hooping thru out the evening. The party started out with wine, some donated by Rodney Strong and wonderful food compliments of Amendment 21. Tomas McCabe, ED of BRAF gave a brief overview and Crimson Rose, BRAF Board Member spoke specifically about what was happening in Reno...from past to future…

We are looking for Artists to display and/or sell their works at a benifit this July. This fund raiser will benifit the Burners without Boarders (BWB) organization. Burners Without Boarders is a grassroots, volunteere-driven. community leadership organization whos goal is to help unlock the creativity of local communities to solve problems that bring about meaningful change. Hey everyone, we were INVITED to have a show at the airport all summer long...this show will feature photos of the event as well as art that has come to Reno or will be coming. We are in the process of raising funds for the PERMANENT installation of Tree Spire (from the Mangrove installation) into Newlands Park (on California St. near Keystone) This is VERY exciting. The City of Reno has given us a Public Art Challenge Grant towards the expenses but we need to match their funding 2:1.
